SuperSearch Service Status Update:
We have recently moved the SuperSearch service to newer, more powerful, servers
and also optimized a lot of the core code in the SuperSearch backend.
Due to this, we have been able to merge the two SuperSearch search
categories ("General" and "Erotica") so *all contents* is searched, no
matter what search category you have active. So no need to select
search categories anymore.
Not only does this makes it easier and faster to use SuperSearch, but it will
also return more results, since the earlier auto-categorization was not
100% precise and sometimes placed articles into the wrong search categories.
We have also removed the retention limit for indexed image and audio groups.
Search retention is equal for *all* indexed Usenet groups (12500+ groups) now.
Speaking of retention. The current SuperSearch retention is around 4 years.
In the near(ish) future, we will be able to (re)bump the retention up to 10 years for *all* groups.
