8.0 Beta 4: Filenames end with space, then dot extension?

The de-obfusticator seems to be adding a trailing space to the filenames, resulting in things like:

Code: Select all

long.movie.file.name .mkv
This isn't a huge problem, since I need to rename everything anyway, but it just seems odd. Is there some logic/reason why this is being done or is it just a mistake?

Re: 8.0 Beta 4: Temporarily paused while writing downloaded data to storage device

I don't know all of the technical performance details for the drive (D:) NL is configured to write to (which is also configured as the drive where the Windows temp folder is located), but here is its name/description: Seagate Desktop SSHD ST4000DX001 4TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Solid State Hybr...

Re: 8.0b4 - Could not create destination folder

This is probably unrelated, but I have noticed that the some of the unscrambled folder and file names are VERY LONG, sometimes beyond what is allowed for a normal path/file string. Maybe someone could come up with some sort of rule/pattern based system that would allow us to "explain" how we would l...

8.0 Beta 4: Temporarily paused while writing downloaded data to storage device

When downloading article (sets) that have already been (incorrectly) marked as spam, NL starts giving me this message and effectively reducing my download speed from its normal 120Mbps to around 45-50Mbps. This is NOT a drive issue, since NL can often download many, many GB of data at full speed wit...

8.0 Beta 4: Cannot disable spam detection

No matter how I have tried the spam detection settings, passworded RAR files are ALWAYS flagged as spam (by SuperSearch) requiring me to manually resume each one individually. My spam detection settings are: NotSpam.png But I still get spam reports like this: ----------------------------------------...

Re: 8.0b4 SuperLeech went berzerk!

Yup. Definitely still broken. The SuperLeech query super.force or "super force" or super-force or super_force MinKB:100000 with the SuperLeech append filter: -german -french -deutsch -italian -xxx -.ITA. Just matched these 113 things that don't match AT ALL (hopefully there's a pattern that the deve...

8.0b4 What do EMPTY supersearch results mean?

Normally when a supersearch completes with no results, I see this (with or without the "Hide seen" box checked): NoMatch.png If only old results are returned and I check the "Hide seen" checkbox I see this: NoNewMatch.png But what does it mean when the search results window is simply completely EMPT...

Require "whole word" match

For me, this most important search feature that is missing from SuperSearch & SuperLeech is the ability to specify that a string must NOT be part of a larger string, i.e. "whole word match required." While searching for one word titles can still be problematic, at least eliminating all of the non-ma...

Re: v8b5 UFR 2 - SuperLeech not matching properly

Other comments (see https://www.newsleecher.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=35711&p=136457 ) indicate that this is a Superleech back end issue. It also seems that it MAY have been fixed, based on my testing this morning where none of my searches that include "or" returned anything unexpected. It would...

Re: 8.0b4 SuperLeech went berzerk!

It appears that someone may be paying attention to this thread (or something like it: https://www.newsleecher.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=35719 ) because when I tried enabling my Superleech entries containing "or" this morning to try to answer the question of how they work with the "or" removed, ...

Re: 8.0b4 SuperLeech went berzerk!

I just realized that any search with an "or" in it is malfunctioning. It looks like "or" is just another word in the search and that all of the words collectively are treated as an "or" collection. None of my SuperLeech entries WITHOUT and "or" in the query are having any problems (other than the in...

Re: 8.0b4 SuperLeech went berzerk!

OK, a few days have passed, this is still happening for SOME Superleech entries. Here come some captures of one of my problem entries, per haps someone can explain how I have caused the search system to fail so miserably? SuperLeech.png My Superleech configuration panel. Re: Supersearch Reset?

Thanks, that would NEVER have occurred to me. Since 'X' icons mean CLOSE just about EVERYWHERE I tend to avoid closing things that I do not know how to open again first. If you really have something against clearly labeling the button as 'Reset', perhaps you could at least have the tool tip say 'Res...

Re: Supersearch Reset?

In fact, is there any chance that the INCREDIBLY useful tool for creating, building and editing search queries will ever return? I really, REALLY miss that because I can never remember all of the proper syntax for the various options.
