Not specific dates but day ranges.

Either manually typing in something like "minDays:30 maxDays:60" in the search field or by entering them into the appropriate search filter boxes. Depending on the version you are using, you can see the filter boxes by clicking on the Magnify Glass icon next to the search box (using 4.0 or earlier) or by pressing F3 twice (using 5.0)

If I construct the search like this

searchword group:anime

it works showing only anime groups, but if I do this

searchword -group:anime

it doesn't work, it should show all but anime groups, instead it shows all.

The same behaviour for -poster:xxxx option.

Is this a bug or a feature not implemented?

Could we have this in near future?

Search results grow ever so big, anything to limit would help.

Thanks

Yes, if there's not an exclusion for groups then I'd like it added, I often search for new .flacs but there are certain groups that say like the Bruce Springsteen group who have huge floods of stuff that I'd rather missout during a search.

a -group:springsteen would be spot on...

Mind you, only useful IF the SUPERSEARCH IS ACTUALLY WORKING....

Down yet again and no word from admin..

I noticed back on page 3 of this thread, in Oct. 2006 that user 'omegadcuk' mentioned that it would be nice if SuperSearch had the option to search using regular expressions (RegEx).

I would just like to second what 'omegadcuk' said because I think that it would be a wonderful option and would really make the SS service much more useable for fans of RegEx!

Of course I don't know if that is even possible with the current incarnation of SS but I'm sure that it's not something that has escaped the developers notice.

SS is very nice now, so much less downtime that in the beginning, but it could be just a little nicer! Wink
