First of all : Compliments to the maker of Newsleecher ! Especially the "Server search" (xpat) is very usefull !
I have an issue though:
I have setup newsleecher to use 4 newsservers, 3 from my provider and 1 payserver. On the payservers i am SURE the retention is up to 2 weeks. When i retrieve headers through "server search" though, it sometimes comes up with incomplete posts, or unavailable posts. It looks as if Newsleecher has not searched the payserver.
Has anybody experienced this before? |

some servers have XPAT search turned off (such as ultrafeed, for example)... as such, you won't be able to get any search results listed FROM that server, but it does not mean that results from other servers won't work at all.
unfortunately, without an easy method of search on your pay server, it's probably going to be difficult to tell what articles/msgid's are actually there... |

My payserver is easynews. I am sure their servers have xpat turned on, becuase ia hve used it before with Xnews. Technical support opf Easynews confirm that xpat search is possible... |

| Easynews does indeed offer the xpat function, but just not on all groups. So that might be the reason. |
