There are some rar- and mp3-files i can't download Crying or Very sad

I give an example to illustrate what happens.

Group: alt.binaries.bass
The file (1 of the 21 files): BN Robinnneke past een req -:- Sensation white 2005 belgium.part01.rar

1/ Newsleecher starts downloading Smile
2/ Some seconds later the progressbar reaches 100% Smile
3/ Newsleecher created the groupfolder Smile
4/ Groupfolder is empty and the downloaded file completely disappeared !! Shocked

This is what's in the log:
21-5-2005 12:02:21 Downloaded "BN Robinnneke past een req -:- Sensation white 2005 belgium.part01.rar".
21-5-2005 12:02:21 * Article skipped. Either text-only or unknown encoded article format: BN Robinnneke past een req -:- Sensation white 2005 belgium.part01.rar.

I have the same result in some other groups and with some mp3-files. Confused

Question Anyone any idea what is wrong?

It is BN encoded, there are bound to be programs wich can decode this. But Newsleecher is not one of them. They have been posted I think with a program called Bommanews. You could download them using Ctrl-R, they will open in Notepad. Save them and try to find a stand-alone utility to decode them.

Edit: Your best bet might be to download it with Bommanews.

Only y-enc (and uu???) is supported by nl. if you're post is in a different code (like base64) nl. isn't able to encode it.
For now you could save the text file (by right clicking and selecting text etc.). Then use an other program to decode it.

Cheers Mudone.

Ps.Take a look in this tread, about the same subject.

Hi.

I can import NZB's and newsleecher looks like it's working but at the end there is no repair and extract en no downloaded file in my folder.
The log states for al the files:

* Article skipped. Either text-only or unknown encoded article format: ".

I tried to download some older files which I know worked before but those files aren't working either.
I can't download any file at all anymore though there is data coming in.
I looked at the file info's and they are yenc coded.
Anybody an idea how to fix this?

Thanks,

Ellen
