2 x E-mail support written no answer.
In the forum support no response only spam.
I no longer had such a bad support. Best for the purchase of software to write that there is no support and close the bad Forum, then know you at least what is one.
Good bye. |

I read your original forum question...I think most people are having a hard time trying to determine what your problem is EXCEPT THAT IT IS SLOW.
Compressed Header Support: If your news server supports XFeatures header compression, you can download headers at up to 10 times faster.
If you read the Newsleecher dialog it says if you have problems with this you would turn it off. What news server are you using? What version of Newsleecher are you using? Are you a registered user? The non-beta might help you since there are less options to screw up.
Unfortunately hosting a BB is prone to having spammers so this is not unique to Newsleecher. Saying negative things just turns people off. I do not work for Newsleecher but would try to help if you gave a more information in your questions.
Otherwise you just sound like another spammer. _________________ There is always more than one viewpoint in a multidimensional world |

@Rashomon
I am for years of registered user. It worked perfectly before I new have installed W7 and Newsleecher 5Beta12. 2 x I wrote no answer Support NewsLeecher.
I have also read that the support is not responding by email.
Since reinstalling, I can download no compressed headers by Newshosting and Usenetserver.
I have all dat files deleted and reset. I went through all the settings.
I have written also Newshosting and Usenetserver, there is the xFeature ok. |

| The author of Newsbin is active in their forums at http://forums.newsbin.com and has never left his users hanging. Might be worth checking out. |

I saw you registered a couple days ago. Since you have been a user for years I am surprised you never registered in the forum before.
I have used Newsleecher on XP, Vista, and Win7x64 and have had problems but you need patience and work things out. I have noticed that Newsleecher support over the years seem to take a sabbatical every so often. It may be Easter Break for them.
Is Win7 a new install or upgrade?
When did it work "perfectly"?
What version worked "perfectly"?
Was it before or after Win7?
What type of connection do you have, did you change anything else?
Did you try V4 final?
Looking at cause/changes and effects is the best way to troubleshoot.
I use NL mainly for many features other than reading groups. Perhaps someone who knows more than I can respond when you can answer these questions. We are a community and you get more bee's with honey than vinager, or something like that. BE NICE |
