| I've always preferred the Aluminium theme. but now there isn't any option to change from the default blue. |

Yeah, I have just noticed this with 3.9b2. Didnt notice it with b1 cause I had it set as Alluminium anyway, but after I installed b2 and it reset all the grids, like it said it would, I went to change to my old theme and the option is still non-exisitant.
