|Newzbin is an Usenet indexing site that is community driven. It is not a usenet news service provider. For more info, please read the Wikipedia entry.
As of 3/30/2010, Newzbin no longer requires invites during their legal battle.
We will see in another month what will happen. If they go back to requiring invites, I'll be happy to give them out again.

The next hearing in court is mid April. Until then we are required to implement a default policy of blocking movies and TV reports. These will need to be manually authorised by us before they are published. This is cumbersome and, we appreciate, deeply unwelcome. Rest easy that it is temporary and will only last until we can get into court or until we implement a less onerous automatic filter.
As of now registrations have been enabled - You will no longer need an invite to signup for a new account.
Newzbin is not free and requires a small weekly subscription fee for access. Newzbin service is bought in blocks of weeks, and each week costs £0.3 sterling with an 8 week minimum of £2.40. One year is £15.60. (Exchange rate conversion). They only accept payment via Mastercard, Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Maestro/Switch, Solo cards. Here is their Sales Support FAQ. If you can't afford this additional service or don't have a way to pay with these methods, please do not ask for an invite.
NOTE: Newzbin's policy on invites states, "Please note, you are responsible for the people you invite to a certain degree. If any member you invite starts producing chargebacks or is found to be providing fraudulent card details, we reserve the right ban both them and you"
Should we find anyone who receive invites are abusing Newzbin per their policy, we will BAN them from the forums and CLOSE their NewsLeecher account WITHOUT refund!
So if you agree and want to ask for an invite, send me a Private Message with the following
* your full name
* current email address on your NewsLeecher account. The invite will only be sent to this address
* NewsLeecher License ID (you can find this in the Members Area right above your email address) or your Giganews account number if you signed up for the Giganews special offer (I need the gn##### number, not your Giganews username. If you don't have it, you can log in at the Giganews site then begin to submit a support request. On the support forum, there will be a Login field that includes your account number.)
Note: This offer is ONLY for active NewsLeecher customers
Please be aware of and use the following pages...
Services Status Page : SuperSearch and Usenet Access server status, retention, server load, indexing time, etc.
Support Request Form : Use this if you have a problem with billing or account status. The forum is only for NewsLeecher application issues.
It isn't God I have a problem with. It is his fan club I cannot stand.
