V3.9B6: Splash screen does not close after startup

Postby The_Rock » Thu Aug 09, 2007 10:52 am

Most of the time, but not always, the splash screen stays on. There's no way to close it. Restarting newsleecher a lot of times until finally the splash screen dissapears by itself is the only thing that helps.

Known problem. You can turn off the splash screen under Options.

This happens if you have enabled the "Startup as Minimized" option in the Options>Interface screen, though rarely it can happen when disabled.

This has been added to the Known Bugs list
Please be aware of and use the following pages...
Services Status Page : SuperSearch and Usenet Access server status, retention, server load, indexing time, etc.
Support Request Form : Use this if you have a problem with billing or account status. The forum is only for NewsLeecher application issues.

Try the option Help > About when it happens again. Perhaps (I haven't tried this, as I don't have this problem (yet)) the splash screen will disappear when you're done in the About window.
Fill in your bugs so NL will get better.
