|
|
I was running the latest non beta release of Newsleecher and it would lock my system up for a minute or so then would release it and go about its business. This would happen throughout the whole download. I tried the beta and it would do the same.
Its like it stalls and locks everything up where I can't open a window nor close one. It only lasts around a minute.
System specs
Intel E6600 oc to 2.88
EVGA Mobo 680i
EVGA 8800 GTS
4gbs Matched pair G.Skill ddr2 800
2 WD 250 Sata drives.
DSL connection.
I am not sure if this only occurs when its minimized or if its maximized and you move focus away from it and to another window. _________________ Seth E Parker |

| Getting the same problem, download and uploads both stop, can last from 30secs to 2/3 mins but if I do a quick disconnect reconnect the downloads restart. Can only do this if window is max as if it is min it will not max |

So I guess that there is no fix for this issue. I find that hard to believe. Oh well. I'm going to do a fresh install here shortly and maybe that will fix it. _________________ Seth E Parker |

Have tried reinstalling with no luck. This does seem to me to be a newsleecher problem as I have tried Newsbin and Newsgrabber with no problems. It never really concerned me untill I began using XBMC and I find that when newsleecher stalls my upload to XBMC also stalls and looses its connection

If the entire network connection drops or hangs, it is most likely due to an overloaded buffer in the network card or something similar. Try updating the drivers/firmware for the network card and/or router. _________________ It isn't God I have a problem with. It is his fan club I can't stand. |

It doesn't happen in anything else that I do. Like downloading drivers off http or downloading big game demos. As stated its only related to newsleecher. I also don't have any problems when downloading streaming media. I am on a 3mbits dsl connection so I got decent bandwidth. _________________ Seth E Parker |
