Below is a list of bugs and issues identified by the NewsLeecher team. If you are reporting a bug, please remember to check this list first. If the bug already exists, please do not start a new thread--add your new comments regarding the bug to the original thread that reported it.

  • Explorer tab causes application errors when trying to delete a folder and another delete folder dialog is already being displayed.
    Note from Developer: Can't reproduce. Has bug been fixed in v3.9 beta 14+?
    
    
  • At very low percentages (<25%), the speed scheduler will stop working after a couple of minutes. Bandwidth will jump to 100%.

  • "unpause if only par2 files" option in Option->NZB Files is ignored.

  • (3.9b9)You cannot right click in the Leech (Specify) download folder field to paste in folder names

  • (3.9b9+)If you get headers for a group and download/open a NZB file in the Articles tab from that group, the status column in the Articles tab for the files that are downloaded using the NZB file is not updated correctly. It also happens with SS too.

  • (3.9b10)Even when "Activate on .NZB import" is unchecked, it does not prevent NL from activating and it will come to the foreground whenever you load a NZB file.

  • News tab can display 1 day left on your license, but due to differences in timezones between the client and license servers it could be wrong

  • (3.9 Final) Ignores manually added MaxDays parameter if over 3 days. Uses pulldown setting instead.

  • (3.9b7) RnE fails to extract with Umlaut in names/subjects
    Note from Developer: Confirmed. 3rd Party Component Issue. Will try to get it fixed in the v3.9 or v4.0 beta series.
    
    
  • RnE can't download needed par2 repair files if When Empty...Logoff Server was used.

  • Pretty Name-based folder doesn't work when extracted to different location

  • RnE rescans the same files multiple times if the par2 files are downloaded before the set files. It also looks like the par2 repair files are reverified every time a new set file is downloaded.

  • When repairing, the status column will go from 0 to 100% multiple times--presumably once per file in the set. It should instead only go from 0 to 100% once for the entire set as a whole.

  • RnE will enter an endless loop and create hundreds of extraction directories if the total directory path exceeds the Windows limit of 255 characters

  • When loading a very large newsgroup the "Please Wait ... Newsleecher" status window stays open with "Sorting Articles for Browsing" displayed

  • Explorer tab doesn't refresh filename case correctly that have been changed outside of NL by Quickpar.

  • Tooltips disappear too quickly when small files are being downloaded. This is probably due the lists refreshing too quickly.

  • NL will freeze or crash when the "Awaiting Response" message in the SuperSearch tab causes the "Show icons for Tabs" dropdown arrow to move just under the right side of the application window
