This may have been answered elsewhere, so if so, I apologize.

Can I install v5 bxx data files to a secondary drive? That is, are the instructions here: http://www.newsleecher.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12413 still workable for the latest releases?

I'm discovering my 120 SSD (w7, 64b installed on c:\) fills up quickly!

Not working. Did the following steps:

Closed NL

Create "newsleecher.ini" in install directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\NewsLeecher) with the following contents:

dataFolder=F:\NewsLeecherV4\data\

tempFolder=F:\NewsLeecherV4\temp\

save/close

COPY all contents of C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\NewsLeecher to F:\NewsleecherV4.

Reopen NL.... empty.

Deleted newsleecher.ini, all contents of F:\NewsleecherV4. Repeated above steps and nada. NL opens with empty setting.

Thoughts?

Close.

You specified your data location as F:\NewsLeecherV4\data\ but then you copied your existing data files to F:\NewsLeecherV4\

If you look in your F:\NewsLeecherV4\ directory, you will see all the data files you copied over but there will also be data\ subdirectory where NewsLeecher created new data files.

To quickly fix this, change your newsleecher.ini file to
dataFolder=F:\NewsLeecherV4\
tempFolder=F:\NewsLeecherV4\temp\

and delete the F:\NewsLeecherV4\data\ directory.

Launching NewsLeecher will now look in the F:\NewsLeecherV4\ directory for your *.dat files.

That did it. That's for catching that oversight for me.
