|
|
Version: 4.0 Final
OS: Win7 32bit
Install Method: Full
Type of Install: Registered
Number of Servers: 1
Provider: Giganews
Antivirus: Avira
Firewall: Windows
Connections per server: 15
Server Priority: 1
Bug Description:
If downloading many smaller files (~500k) simultaneously, sometimes not all the files get saved to the download folder. In addition, some files end up corrupted although the file size is correct. When this happens and NL is closed, the temp folder is not removed and usually contains some files. I've been able to lessen the occurrence of this behavior by limiting my connections to 4, but it still occurs now and then.
This behavior seems like a race condition whereby the file handle to the incomplete download can be lost and then assigned to a new download when there is lots of file activity.

| It's been 2.5 months and this remains unresolved (in 5b3). Yes, coding new features is fun, but can the important bugs get some attention too? That I can't trust the software is not a good thing. |
