Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to sufolder
Totally agree. I have the same issue. Should be a setting but not forced.
Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder
This is a serious USER issue (probably easily fixable) that needs to addressed with a new Beta ASAP.
Also, the old Download Folder system needs to be reinstated soonest.

Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder
Just had the subfolder issue happen to me, this is ridiculous as a user if I have not asked for this, and it was not present in Beta2.

Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder
I had the <Date> option enabled and newsleecher refused to download to this, thinking <Date> was a folder.
Is everything to download to the main folder using the file name as the folder name
Have the Tags actually need removed, reading the release features, doesn't specifically say

Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder
I'm currently working on making subfolders optional. The <DATE> and <GROUP> tags will also be avail. again.
When it's done ( pretty soon ) I'll post an unofficial test release here.

bug fixed. no idea how. hate it when that happens. trying to break it again now. will. not. be. defeated.
Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder
Excellent news Spiril, will test as soon as you post it, along with the other few fixes hopefully in Beta3 posts, especially the Search Results Filter TAB missing.

Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder
I have uploaded a test release here:
https://www.newsleecher.com/nl80004.ufr1.exe
All folders specified via the "Download / Unpack Folders"-dialog, now support the following tags: <NAME>, <GROUP>, <DATE> and <DATETIME>
I haven't had the time to test properly yet, so expect bugs

Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder - Fixed
v.8b4 UFR
D/L to subfolder problem solved - NEED TO GO TO FOLDERS AND UNCHECK - Unpack to Subfolder
Update: Also tested downloads from specific group to a specific folder - it worked.
Still not pleased that I have to reconfigure - reenter all my previously set up group/folder entries.
Still unable to use SuperBrowse in search - Thousands of results no headers displayed!

Perfect for me, as I like to download as per date folder
Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder - fixed
Unpack to Subfolder should NOT be default
UPDATE: If Unpack to Subfolder is unchecked in main Folder window - Unpack to Subfolder should NOT be default in Add/Edit
Also, having issue with Folders retaining entries. Believe you have to APPLY then OK (not positive).
If pressing APPLY is solution - Settings should be retained by pressing OK only.
Lost entries occur after restart.
Update: Tried to make reoccur but unable - don't know what caused the entries to disappear.

Try this unofficial forum test release when you got the time:
https://www.newsleecher.com/nl80004.ufr2.exe
I haven't tested much yet, but the group:groupname tag should be working now. Multiple group-tags cannot be used in the same query though, so no group:groupname1 OR group:groupname2 syntax.
New UFR tested and seems to work with the Group specifier.
My setup (Note: \\TM5\... is my NAS network drive. Equivalent to D-Drive specification D:\)
...........(W:\ is my M2 SSD download drive) :

Re: Nl v8b3 unpacking everything to subfolder - not fixed
I use NL Pre beta 4. I've set my download folder to C:\Newsleecher.in\<GROUP>\
It doesn't work for me.
