Supersearch missing large parts of RARs

I did a search today and SS returned the results and downloaded but a significant portion of the set was missing - only 259/519 were available via SS.

Using Binsearch webpage, I was able to create an NZB and everything was available and downloaded OK.

The download was posted 3 days ago.

OK, the latest v4 beta 17 fixes it.

The link on the Downloads page as of right now points to the beta 16 despite what it says though!!!

You can grab the actual version (or any) from the old section:

I think Spiril must be having a bad hair day...

Supersearch has definitely stopped indexing. A blind search with MaxDays=1 returns 2890 results, the youngest being 0.6 days ago

Items show up fine in Binsearch but not SS.

If I set mine to Max Days=370, the posts are still missing. This can't be a Newsleecher bug, the Supersearch has stopped indexing.

If you do a blind search with Max Days=1, you'll get 2890 results returned with the clock stopped 0.6 days ago.

You've lost me. The article just isn't there any more, Giganews have removed it. How do I get it if that's the case? The #19076 you mentioned earlier appears to be a disucssion about authentication issues unless I'm looking at the wrong thing. EDIT: just saw sheepshagger's post and it's exactly that...

I raised a support case with Giganews, who confirmed exactly the same.

No issue with Newsleecher or Supersearch after all.

It was just the first time I've experienced this, so at least I know what to watch out for in future. And be quick downloading stuff from GN....

OK, that's really weird though - I'm downloading from Giganews. These are also files that I've previously downloaded. I only noticed it after I did the Windows 7 build. The files are all recent - certainly not past GN's retention period.

Anyone else with problem downloads from Giganews?

Access Violation Error

Hi, this has started happening lately with newest beta (3.9): Access violation at address 004811A8 in module 'Newsleecher.exe'. Read of address 00000004 It can happen after I've downloaded some items using supersearch and then I go to select another tab - I don't have to click on the tab, just mouse...

I've had this as well - also inconsistent results when searching. Looked for a keyword, brought up a list and then same search produced more results a few minutes later. An example would be when I downloaded the headers from alt.binaries.hdtv and the missing part was there, but not in the supersearc...

Apologies for posting the download name. I had read the forum policy, but didn't realise TV Shows were included in that, thought it was just illegal software programs as such. Just being too literal in the reading... I re-installed latest beta, switched off the error checking and it's helped. I gues...
